This was an amazing training called Audio Descriptive Commentary designed for people with disabilities so they can be included in stadiums on gamedays! The people with disabilities tune in to an app and hear ADC commentary. Simple. Most everyone has a phone. Earbuds in and away we go!
This may be the most challenging thing I have tried to do in many years! We love challenges and inclusivity so I was thrilled to participate.
Brad Hope is a brilliant trainer. He has been at it for 8 years and is so smooth in his delivery. I am getting as many reps as possible and each time it gets better. That’s how that works. 🙂
ADC should be a given in every stadium in every league. Everyone deserves to be a part of a great game on match days. Please support AccessibALL and advocate for these services to be provided for those with limited sight or partial hearing. It is important work.
Fifa will be providing ADC during the Fifa Club World Cup in the US this June! Let’s give Fifa praise for this one. They deserve it.

This is Kai doing ADC . Benji is seated to the right with a marker and a picture of a football pitch. Benji moves the marker (as the ball location) as described by KAI. Brad Hope, the ADC trainer/commentator, is seated to the left assessing if Benji is moving the marker to where Kai is saying the ball is located. It’s incredibly challenging!! Try it. Next time you watch a game, try to describe exactly where the ball is at each moment.
Again, it is important work. Thanks to Brad Hope from Alan March Sports and Olivier Jarosz from AccessibAll!
