I had so much fun getting back with the NWSL in the Summer Cup 2024. The Cup featured a partnership with Liga MX Feminil and the NWSL. My first game was Orlando and NC Courage on 7/20. I am a big fan of Seb Hines at Orlando so that interview was easy and fun. I had wanted PK’s and got them! Two up and coming goalkeepers got to shine on the big stage. I love that the Cup features new players who are able to get minutes and convince the coaching staff why they should be on the pitch when the regular season returns after the Olympics.
Game two was on July 31st between Portland and Seattle. It was my first game for both of those clubs and one thing I learned is that the spirit of excellence is alive and well at both places! Portland and Seattle lead the league in all time wins respectively. Enough said.
It was great to see some old faces and new ones. Jill Lloyden, Saskia Webber, and Jordan Angeli are three of my favorites. I loved working with Marion Crowder for the first time. She impressed right out of the gate and has such an easy manner about her. It’s always great to connect with your analyst. I was able to reconnect with one my faves, Carmen Boquin! She is so talented in doing both Spanish commentary and English!
56 NWSL players are at the Olympics. The best play here. I look forward to more games. It is my favorite place to work!
